While the testing process varies depending on your specific question, the main steps are:

1. Diagnostic interview. Information about your background, history, presenting problem and other areas of functioning is gathered to generate hypotheses about possible causes of the difficulty.

2. Test administration. Based on the hypotheses, a test battery is constructed. Multiple measures are used in order to provide ample evidence for or against a certain hypothesis. Tests are administered and scored in accordance with a standardized procedure.

3. Data integration and report writing. All the collected data are analyzed and integrated to explain the presenting problem. A comprehensive assessment report is then produced to capture the findings and conclusions of the assessment process.

4. Feedback session. Findings along with recommendations and referrals are presented and discussed.
